Picking the Perfect Short Dress
When it comes to short drersses, sometimes the best advice to follow isn’t that of your friends, but rather the advice that you give yourself. Let’s face it—when we let our friends pick our dress, we rarely keep a few things in mind that we should. However, in a lot of cases, our friends are the ones who we bring with us to pick a dress. So how do you pick the perfect dress, while keeping your friends’ advice in mind and your best interests as well? First of all, be willing to put your foot down. If you hate the way a certain fabric feels, put your foot down. Your comfort is more important than how you look. Next, if you absolutely hate purple or yellow—don’t get yellow prom gowns or purple ones. Pick a color you like—especially if it looks good on you. If you feel washed out in one color, try a slightly different shade and see if it helps any. Lastly, make sure that you can move in your dress. If you have trouble getting from point a to point b, then chances are that you should probably find a dress that fits a tiny bit better. If you are uncomfortable in dresses that are really tight, then you can find one that is more flowing instead.
